Description

We are seeking a maintenance person with hands-on apartment maintenance experience to help maintain several properties in the Renton area. Applicant will perform all aspects of property maintenance and must able to trouble-shoot and perform repairs. Applicant must be able to turn apartments and complete repair requests correctly in a timely and thorough manner. Duties and Responsibilities: • Perform tasks in a self directed manner with moderate to minimal supervision. • Troubleshoot issues and perform repairs. • Follow Safety Guidelines. • Ensure timely turnover of vacant apartments. • Accurately report all time, activities and supplies needed for repairs. • Operate all equipment, tools, motor vehicles(s), etc. according to safety standards. • Securely store tools, equipment, parts, and materials in designated areas. • Ensure that all work areas are clean and safe at all times. • Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: • High School Diploma or GED • Demonstrated ability to perform basic; plumbing, electrical, carpentry, wall repair, and painting • Ability to safely operate hand and power tools and other generally accepted maintenance equipment • Experience working independently and as a member of a team • Ability to follow instructions accurately and to problem solve effectively • Ability to master tasks after a brief period of instruction • Experience in successfully working with diverse populations • Must have a vehicle and valid Washington State drivers License. • Ability to speak, read, and write in English Preferred Qualifications: • 2 + years hands on proven experience in basic home maintenance such as, plumbing repair, drain cleaning, a working knowledge of carpentry, electrical applications, wall repair and painting. • Certified in asbestos, hazardous materials a plus.
