BOULDER, CO — A draft annexation agreement for the University of Colorado Boulder South property is set to be released in July, officials said. The university applied for permission to annex its CU South land into the city of Boulder in an effort to expand its campus in the location. The land would be under the city's jurisdiction, but the city wouldn't own the site. Under the draft agreement, the university agreed to allow the city to construct a flood mitigation system, and extend utility services to the site. "A range of topics will be addressed in the annexation agreement including future uses (primarily housing), transportation, public access, development limitations and many others," the city said in a public notice. A BeHeardBoulder questionnaire will open July 9 and close Aug. 13, the city said. A community briefing is scheduled from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. July 9, and a listening session is scheduled from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. July 14. The sessions will be recorded and posted online, officials said.
