PITTSBURGH, PA — More than 800,000 Allegheny County residents have now received at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccination, according to the state's vaccine dashboard. Of that total, 628,088 people have been fully vaccinated and 172,102 have been partially vaccinated. County officials said Thursday that efforts to reach unvaccinated people will continue, as well as efforts to educate those who have not yet chosen to be vaccinated about the importance, efficacy and availability of the vaccine. "We've made great strides. This is a great milestone," county executive Rich Fitzgerald said. "We want as many people as possible to be vaccinated, and we will continue to do the work needed to reach people wherever they are and help them get vaccinated." The county health department continues to offer the Janssen/Johnson & Johnson (ages 18 and older), Moderna (ages 18 and older), and Pfizer (ages 12 and older) vaccines at locations throughout the county.
