I am a nanny with over a decade of experience providing childcare in many different settings, with children of many different ages, as young as 6 months old. I am upbeat, kind, dedicated, and fun. I am currently working towards an associates degree in early childhood education, have completed and passed my child growth and development course, and have experience working in a young toddler classroom. I am able to make nutritious meals and snacks for the children in my care, and am excellent at making and maintaining a schedule for children. I enjoy doing day trips with children as well as spending as much time outside as possible - come rain or shine. I am first aid and CPR certified. I speak a tiny bit of French! I am a Boston native, and love the deep history of the city, and love exploring. During the summer, I enjoy taking children to playgrounds with splash pads. I also enjoy taking children to the library for age-appropriate activities such as toddler music classes and story time. I spend a lot of time also playing music for children and encouraging them to dance, move and groove. I have cared for children as young as 6 months old, and as old as 12 years old. Much if my experience is in a young toddler classroom, with a small group of children. In my time caring for children, I maintained a daily schedule which included free play, snack time and lunch time, as well as nap time. I have cared for both boys and girls. When cooking and making snacks for children, I like to expose them to as much variety as possible and love having children help me prepare food where appropriate. I have always loved cooking, and have always enjoyed seeing how children describe what we are making. I enjoy also exposing children to as much sensory play as possible, such as play dough, water play, and sand play. It is important for their development to have these experiences. I love to go swimming, take walks, and ride bikes. Music is also a very important part of my job and life, as I enjoy making up fun little diddies for young children to understand the world around them. I enjoy organizing games and activities to encourage learning, growth, and development. I am currently looking for a full-time position in or around Charlestown, MA. I am able to travel to Cambridge, Somerville, Malden, Medford, and Everett without issue by T. I am fully vaccinated against COVID (as of 4/2/2021). I graduated high school in 2010, and am still taking classes towards an associates degree in early childhood education. I have experience caring for sibling groups, and am willing to work with a nanny share. I look forward to hearing from future families!
