Is anyone interested in making some heavy music in one or more of the genres above? I specifically didn't include sludge, because I find it a bit limiting (especially the Cookie Monster vocals variety). I guess I lean more toward Orange Goblin and Red Fang than Sleep or Electric Wizard. Nothing wrong with the slower, sludgier stuff, I just like the option of including some more up-tempo songs in the set. I also like quirkier stuff like Melvins and Shellac and Jesus Lizard. I play guitar and bass and could go either way. I think it'd be especially cool to switch off with another guitar/bass player. Also, I'm not much of a vocalist. I don't care what color you are or who you're attracted to or how many birthdays you've celebrated, etc. All are welcome who wanna make some cool music. I myself am over 40 and have a family and a job, so extensive touring isn't in my plan. I WOULD like to play out occasionally at some point, though. Haven't been on a stage in several years. And, in an ironic twist, I'm not a 420 guy. I'm fine with others partaking, though. I don't have adequate space to host, so an alternative will need to be figured out. I'm downriver but can commute – my last band practiced in Ferndale and Hazel Park.
