The profitable business of selling sick puppies here on Craigslist is growing over the past year.
Most of them are based in South Bay- Chula Vista, San Ysidro, Bonita, National City but they're also in Lemon Grove, Encanto, La Mesa & various other areas.
Please beware!! Many are bringing sick, malnourished pups from Tijuana who were born into bad circumstances. They'll tell you the pups have been vaccinated but often the records are fake. One guy in La Mesa says his uncle is a vet in T.J.
You'll bring home a puppy only to discover they have Parvo/ worms etc. My friend's puppy died like this & she was devastated. Parvo is a cheap vaccination but these heartless con artists are only interested in $$! Parvo is an excruciating, slow, needless way for puppies to die.
Look for signs of fever, diarrhea, eye or nose discharge, lethargy, quality of the coat etc.
Seems to be mainly Huskies & German Shepherds but also plenty of Malti- poos, Pomeranians, Shi Tzus...etc.,
ALWAYS ask to meet at the seller's house - not at a local park or shopping center. Ask to see the parents. Ask for the Veterinarian's contact info where they were seen.
These heartless con artists have been posting since last year.
