Reliable, Professional and Enthusiastic Live Event Tech's, A/V & DJ Production Assistant's Wanted... Higher Ground Entertainment, a boutique live event company operating out of the Pacific Northwest, is seeking reliable and professional DJ assistant's/lighting tech's to add to our staff. No experience necessary (training is provided), but special attention will go toward candidates with professional or amateur experience in live/event performance, venue/theatre lighting, live audio production, video, film, TV, music, event production/coordination, students, recent graduates, or anyone interested in the live event industry and earning extra money on the weekends. While events take place every day of the week, they most commonly fall on the weekends- especially Saturdays. Candidates should have availability Friday-Sunday. The Job: -Pick up gear from our warehouse in Portland and drive it to and from event. -Setting up lighting, sound equipment, staging, effects & A/V. -Operating a slideshow, video-switcher, lighting effects, etc. (controlled/dmx experience a plus!) -Communicate in a timely and professional manner with DJ/MC team before and after events. -Become an expert in our event workflow and learn and rehearse cue points. -Serve as a brand ambassador and promoter at live events with exceptional professionalism and hospitality. The Candidate: -Positive attitude and willingness to learn. We will train the right candidates. -Interest in and/or familiarity with the live event industry (or related industries). -Attention and respect to the details with a ‘no task too big/small’ mentality, reliable with consistent dependability. -Great communication skills and ability to take direction while working as part of a team. Team player mentality and ability to adapt to a fast-pace environment is a must! -Flexible schedule and ability to work long “unconventional business hours” -Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is huge but not a requirement. Event duties will vary depending on the projects and schedule.
