The Office Assistant is responsible for entering new referrals and updating patient information including demographics, insurance, and benefits for Medicare; Managed Care and Commercial Plans. The Office Assistant position will also include communication with Doctor's offices, patients, and insurance companies. Responsibilities will include: Acquiring authorization through various insurance Answering telephones promptly and courteously Billing insurance companies and handling claims Responding to e-mails and voicemails Selecting the appropriate equipment and completing work orders/delivery tickets Providing quality service and accurate billing Responsible for accurate ICD 10 coding; HCPC's, and medical terminology REQUIRED SPECIFIC SKILLS: Strong customer service skills Strong knowledge of medical terminology/billing and coding Written and verbal communication skills Critical thinking, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook You must have reliable transportation Knowledge of intergra que system is a plus Salary is negotiable.
