Description
The Catahoula Leopard Dog is an American dog breed named after Catahoula Parish, Louisiana. It became the state dog of Louisiana in 1979. Both the UKC and AKC registries have assigned the breed a herding group designation. In the 1800s, Catahoula breeding intensified in an effort to develop a family dog that was well-suited to work, hunt, and guard yet good with children. Please research this breed further if you are interested in adopting.
The puppies have thick soft medium-length brindle/merle/golden fur with unique markings - such Cuties!. They are inquisitive, friendly and soooo handsome and playful. All the puppies are very people-oriented and well socialized. They will make you laugh and feel good and fill your Life with Joy.
These puppies were born on April 12th to a beautiful larger-sized Catahoula mother and Shepherd mix father. (See their photos on this listing.) The mother’s owners sought assistance in finding good homes for this unexpected litter. The puppies came to us in good condition. They received their first and second set of puppy vaccinations, NexGard flea/tick treatment and multiple dewormings. The puppies currently weigh approx 18 to 23-lbs. Our adoption agreement requires spay/neuter.
