We are seeking highly motivated Skilled Laborers with experience in Highway and Civil Construction. Responsibilities: • Responsible for ensuring all tools, equipment and supplies are in working order and available. • Perform work safely and in accordance with OSHA rules and standards. Attend daily safety talks. • Operates a variety of general equipment as needed. • Shoveling, digging, and other general construction duties as required. • Remove, fill, or compact dirt, ABC, or other materials as necessary. • Load and unload construction materials. • Assists with daily monitoring and setup of site traffic control. • Ability to assist with mixing and pouring various construction materials. • Responsible for daily site clean-up. Qualifications and Experience: • Minimum four (2) years of experience as a skilled laborer. • Self-motivated, ability to learn quickly, strong work ethic, detail-oriented. • Understands how to use a level and able to check and verify grade. • Some experience operating a variety of general equipment including: backhoe, mini-excavator, roller, water truck, and loader. Track-hoe experience a plus. • Pipe laying experience a significant plus. • Ability to work independently and communicate well with foreman and site superintendent. • Team player who works well with others. • Takes pride in work/finished product. • Works efficiently and completes tasks timely without sacrificing quality. • General knowledge of OSHA safety rules and standards.
