We have an immediate need for Maintenance Staff to join the team at Parkstead Gouverner and Parkstead Watertown at Black River; two of United Group’s Multi Family apartment communities professionally managed by United Plus Property Management. Hiring for the positions below: Maintenance Supervisor - Gouverneur and Watertown Maintenance Technician - Gouverneur The Maintenance Staff is responsible for maintaining the physical condition of the entire property in a safe, efficient, and quality manner. Major Tasks + Key Responsibilities: The responsibilities that are listed below are not all inclusive, however, they are indicative of the type of responsibilities normally performed by the Maintenance Staff: • Assisting with the day to day maintenance duties for 2 properties with routine maintenance, apartment turns, daily work orders assigned, painting cleans, and maintain curb appeal of interior and external of property • Assesses and prioritizes all work to be performed on assigned site • Maintains inventory of equipment, tools, supplies, and work materials • Completes daily work schedules for routine maintenance duties • Completes maintenance work orders as assigned • Ensures quality of work duties performed • Maintains a working knowledge of all utility sources and supply lines • Paints, cleans, completes maintenance items, and all other items required for the completion of the unit under renovation • Cleans all common areas and responsible for trash removal • Performs necessary maintenance relating to both the exterior and interiors of all buildings of the property assigned • Handles emergency situations that may arise, and communicates all details of the incident to the Property Manager • Performs all phases of snow removal from all needed areas and maintains all appropriate equipment • General maintenance experience to include painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, mowing, plowing, etc. • Will be available for on-call as necessary • Maintains a professional and courteous manner with all residents, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees • Actively participate and follow the safety and health programs • Special projects and other responsibilities as may be determined Job Overview + Requirements: • Job Type: Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Technician • Hourly rate: $14 - $17 an hour • Hiring full-time and part-time positions, Monday through Friday, with potential weekend hours required as needed. • Familiar with basic technology programs as well as construction management tools (procor, plangrid, scheduling software, basic excel and word) • Physical Requirements: lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, etc. • Required Experience: 1-3+ years of experience in residential property maintenance • Benefits: Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401k match, PTO • Qualities: Demonstrates integrity on a personal and professional level; Exceptional communication and leadership skills; Ability to solve problems involving residents, maintenance, and challenging situations We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
