NOW HIRING FOR DELIVERY DRIVER / FACILITIES SUPPORT POSITION! *Full-time position, room for growth. Hawthorne Tile offers PTO, medical benefits, and holiday pay in a stable and supportive work environment.* DELIVERY DRIVER / FACILITIES SUPPORT will work with Purchasing, Project Managers, Facilities Manager, and job site supervisors to deliver, organize and stage products to job sites, warehouse, and office. This position will also assist with job site clean-up as needed. The Driver role is often the most visible member of the Hawthorne Tile staff and must develop a strong rapport with vendors, homeowners, and contractors, in addition to the entire Hawthorne Tile team. As Facilities Support you will assist with the organization and maintenance of the facility, grounds, and vehicles. REQUIREMENTS: High School or GED Valid Driver's License *EMPLOYMENT BASED ON DRIVER INSURABILITY* EXPERIENCE: 6 months of experience as delivery driver and/or warehouse work preferred TRANSPORTATION REQUIRED: Access to reliable transportation Valid driver's license *EMPLOYMENT BASED ON DRIVER INSURABILITY* SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES: • Effective communication skills; verbal and written • Excellent representative to customers and vendors • Ability to work on multiple tasks and function under time constraints • Reliable and punctual • Organization skills • Problem solving skills • Time management skills • Ability to take direction • Knowledge of traffic laws • Ability to work safely • Ability to unload trucks • Ability to sweep floors • Ability to use hand and power tools WORKING CONDITIONS: Warehouse, construction sites and residences - both new and remodel; Drive to job sites, shop, and vendors; Prolonged standing, climbing, bending and kneeling, working with sharp and rough materials, working with sharp tools and power equipment; Subject to variable weather conditions, driving in heavy traffic, working in moderate to high noise levels; exposure to airborne particles; Wear respirator, safety glasses, ear plugs, latex gloves; May be required to work alone on a job site. DUTIES AND TASKS: • Report to job site on time ready to work • Report to supervisor for all duties • Load and unload vehicles • Move and stage job site materials • Maintain facility, grounds, and the job site for cleanliness • Sweep floors, vacuum, mop • Maintain company equipment and report if broken or missing • Perform end of day job site cleanup as needed • Report to supervisor regarding any material needs • Report to supervisor regarding any safety concerns • Work with chemicals (cleaning products, etc.) MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE: • Positive Attitude • Reliable and Punctual • Follows supervisory direction • Team player • Relates well with fellow employees • Communicates well with others • Good representative to customers and vendors • Timely and accurate preparation of electronic time entry • Perform the tasks that are requested quickly and accurately • Well organized in work duties • Demonstrates safe and healthy work practices • Wears appropriate clothing to meet company and OSHA standards • Respects company property • Daily production • Follows company policy and procedures If you are interested and qualified for this position, please respond to this post with your resume, phone number and the best time to reach you.
