Scrap Metal/Shutter Assembler - Construction Industry O’Donnell Impact Windows & Storm Protection is a family owned and operated business located in Stuart. We are a licensed and insured contractor specializing in impact windows and doors, and accordion shutter installations. Must have good knowledge of basic construction and building materials, and experience with hand and power tools. Opportunity for career advancement for the right person. Essential Duties: * Break down glass, aluminum, and other construction waste, separating aluminum to recycle. * Consult work orders, and/or schematics to safely construct specified structure. * Connect pieces or secures seams using steel screws. * Perform assigned work such as punching holes for screws. * Maintain clean and orderly workspace. * Ensure compliance of the company’s safety policies and protocols. * Accomplish operational and company goals by completing related assignments, projects, and duties as assigned. Physical demands and abilities: * Employee will be mostly outside in the heat but ample shade. * Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. * Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50 lbs. occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs. * Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. * Safety gloves and goggles provided.
