Description

This position is responsible for providing burr free metal finishes per drawings utilizing sanders, grinders, and acid wash-down tooling. Able to Safely and effectively grind weldments and polish all metals. Must be able to perform dimensional inspection of parts with simple measuring instruments. Must provide documentation of complete tasks in shop software. Must be able to read blueprints, perform acid washing, exhibits proficiency with tape measures, and the Labor-track software system. Able to grasp the paperwork flow system and proper placement of parts within the company staging system. Performs regular duties in the company's 5S program Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Able to safely and effectively grind and polish weldments and all metals Able to perform some re-work- cutting, prepping and grinding Perform acid-washing and perform "wash-down" operations cleaning weldments of heat marks Proficiency with tape measures Ability to learn and operate Labor-trak software system or other systems implemented Achieve burr free edging of items Ability to create finish “graining" as prescribed on drawings Perform dimensional inspection checks on all parts Utilize grinders, sanders, air tools, and perform maintenance Perform "wash-down" operations cleaning weldments of heat marks Ensure in house job routers are correct and completed Operate daily in a safety conscious manner All other duties as assigned What You Need to Succeed Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Blueprint knowledge Hand tool experience Ability to safely lift 50 lbs and work in multiple positions. Able to perform all the paperwork flow system and proper placement of parts within the company staging system Knowledge of metal materials and polishing techniques Minimum Education / Experience Required: High School Diploma or equivalent Call or Text after applying 8133368442
