Job Overview: You will be assisting the installation of ductless mini-split systems. A typical work day will have 1 to 3 jobsite and installing 1 to 5 mini-splits. The amount of work days will mainly depend on when we have jobs. During the summer we will have significantly more work compared to cooler seasons. The job will be on-call, we will let you know at least a few days ahead to check your availability for work. We are flexible if you are not available on certain days. Responsibilities and Duties: - Working with a crew of 2 to 3 people installing ductless mini-split heat pump systems - Prepping worksite by bring in tools and setting up to install the condenser on the outside - Leveling dirt floor in order to install the condenser on top of it - Mounting condenser onto cinder blocks base - Hands on work with running, connecting, wrapping, and reflaring copper line sets - Drilling through walls and strapping line set onto exterior of the house - Going into crawl space underneath house or into attic to run power - Connecting power and control cable of the mini-splits - Cleaning up the worksite after completion of installation, sweeping/wiping - Communication with customers to show them how to operate the system after installation Requirements: - Must have valid driver’s license and be able to drive and meet at different job location. (Typically 1 – 3 job locations a day and within 20 miles of Los Angeles) - Have some knowledge of how to use tools, everything else can be taught - Be able to run power lines in crawl space underneath the house and in attics when needed. (Crawl space suit and mask will be provided) - Be able to work and talk with customers if needed in a professional manner - Have good work ethics and take initiative at the job site Compensation: - Wages will start at $20/hour + $20/day for gas, clock in time is the time we meet at the first job and clock out time is when we are done with the last job. Wage change to $25/hr once you are able to install a system any supervision. - Paid lunch and lunch time and lunch will typically be delivered to the job site if the workday passes 1:00 pm. You are also welcome to bring your own lunch - Check payment will be issued once every 1 to 2 weeks, depending on the amount of work - Wages may increase if you stay with the company long term - You are welcome to use your own tools but it is not required as all tools will be in our work van
