Description

What a foolish thing to say. Of course climate change is caused by humans. Yes, the climate on earth does change perpetually. But it has never changed as rapidly as it has in the last 70 years. If you compare the rise in global climate to the timeline since the industrial revolution, there is a clear and definite parallel. Perhaps the climate would have increased a bit during this time even if humans did not exist. But there is no doubt that human activity has increased the changes in climate. You can find evidence of climate change in ancient trees that are 2000 years old. The reality is- the cause of climate change is irrelevant. Climate change is killing our planet and causing human suffering. We have the ability to change it. So why wouldn’t we? Not working to combat climate change is like a doctor telling you that you have cancer and your response it to take up cigarette smoking. If we (humans) have the ability to slow and even reverse climate change, why would we not do it? We may or may not gree on the cause of global warming, but every person on earth agrees that it is happening. Doing nothing is simply idiotic. Doing nothing is like having your home catch fire and instead of grabbing a hose or calling the fire department, you choose to go fishing.
