Drummer Wanted!

Hello there! Well, I’ll get right to it. My fiancé and I formed a cover band about a year before COVID, with a vision to have an eclectic mix of songs that brought us together, and songs that we individually love too. Unfortunately our drummer needs to pull out of the band as he is too busy, so that brings us to this post! As of now we only have one more gig on the books 8/13 (and a house party 8/7), with some other gigs in the works. Since we are currently open for July, we are hoping to find a new drummer ASAP that we can get up to speed before August. We have about 35 songs and the August 13th gig is a 3 hour set, so we will pretty much need all of them. So, this is a fairly tall order for a new drummer but if you are excited to join our band, but if you like the music we are putting out there, we think it can be done! We are a fun loving, inappropriate, good hearted group. We are all mid 20s to early 40s and that age range seems to work well for us. A couple of us have families, and we practice in our SW MPLS home in our basement. We typically try to practice on Wed. evenings, but that sometimes gets moved around a bit. We also have kicked around the idea of a 4-5pc (or full 6pc but more acoustic) for when it’s a smaller event or coffee shop setup where we hope a drummer might be interested in some hand percussion. My fiance and I love where our band has been heading. It’s been gaining some really great fans, and our gigs have been fun before, during and after. We don’t have any intention of going all out and touring, or gigging weekly, but we are also seeing where it leads. Mostly we want to play breweries, bars, and fun venues (city and some burbs) and we are having a blast organically growing it.
