TSU Milwaukee Service Trip

We have an exciting opportunity for high school students to make a bold impact within the Milwaukee community! We're pleased to make this service opportunity available to our network of students! Under the direction of our well-trained adult leaders, TSU is committed to using this time to empower students to build positive community, live for a greater purpose, and consistently engage in service. This year we've partnered with YouthWorks, to provide exclusive service opportunities to our community within inner city Milwaukee. High school students are invited to register and join us for a week of day-service trips where we'll serve alongside and focus on the different needs of organizations like: The Gathering MilwaukeeHunger Task Force FarmsThe Cathedral CenterThe Guest HouseBridgeBuildersAnd More! While YouthWorks is a Christian organization, TSU's goal is to provide students of any background an opportunity to learn the power and importance of service and to build a more positive community through serving. If you would like to be considered for a scholarship in order to attend this trip, please email TSU's Executive Leader, David at [email protected] Schedule Breakdown MONDAY 7AM: Meet at TSU parking lot for checkin8AM: Orientation (Monday only). We'll meet YouthWorks staff, learn safety protocols and hear about the places our crew will be serving. 9AM - 4:30PM: Service Day, Afternoon Processing Time. We'll depart for the various service sites after morning orientation. Lunch is around noon (your student will need to bring their own lunch). At the end of the day, groups will get together and process/reflect on the day and impacts made. 5:30PM: Arrive back at TSUTUESDAY 8AM: Meet at TSU parking lot for checkin9AM - 3:30PM: Service Day, Afternoon Processing Time. We'll depart for the various service sites after morning orientation. Lunch is around noon (your student will need to bring their own lunch). At the end of the day, groups will get together and process/reflect on the day and impacts made. 4:30PM: Dinner at Kopp's (your student will need to bring their own money for their food order). 6:30PM: Arrive back at TSUWEDNESDAY 8AM: Meet at TSU parking lot for checkin9AM - 4:30PM: Service Day, Afternoon Processing Time. We'll depart for the various service sites after morning orientation. Lunch is around noon (your student will need to bring their own lunch).
