Description

Celebrate our 10 year anniversary of helping cats and kittens in need in NE Ohio. Great food, great music, awesome baskets and tons of fun! In 10 years we have saved thousands (literally) of cats and kittens in need. We are entirely volunteer run: from scooping poop to throwing a good party and everything in between, this all comes together because people from all over Northeast Ohio are dedicated to our mission. Our organization covers the cost of medical treatment and medications for any illness or injury our cats/kittens have upon their admittance to our program, we provide vaccines, spay/neuter surgeries and SNAP tests. Food, litter and the overhead to maintain the shelter (which enables us to help so many animals!) are all necessary and regular costs we incur every.single.day. We wouldn't change anything we're doing, we just need some help to keep doing it! Adoption fees just can't come close to covering the cost associated with saving, rehabilitating and re-homing hundreds (and hundreds!) of cats and kittens in need. We are honored by the regular monetary support we receive, humbled by the generosity of time, energy and spirit our volunteers offer 365 days a year...and now, NOW we want to celebrate(and raise some money!)! After a weird, scary, frustrating (and lots of other applicable adjectives!) year, unlike any during our lifetimes we want to come together (right MEOW!) to have catch-up, enjoy food from The Tomato Guys (https://thetomatoguysltd.net/), Beatles music from The George Martins (https://www.thegeorgemartins.com/) and the company of everyone we have missed. Please join us:10 years - and counting! We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit, no-kill all volunteer cat shelter located in Ohio City on Cleveland's near west side.  We are a safe haven for abandoned, abused, neglected and homeless cats and kittens.  We provide a safe and loving environment for our felines, and work hard not only to care for them, but to find them permanent loving homes.Tails from the City was founded in late 2011 when a group of acquaintances responded to a call for help with a hoarding situation. Over 100 cats were rescued and brought to our hastily acquired shelter. After being in such an awful environment, there was a lot of work to do to get the cats healthy and adoptable. Most of those original cats have found furever homes, but the number of cats in need continues to grow. As soon as one is placed in a home, another one shows up to take its place.
