Costume Designer Amy Andrews (Little Women, The Good Lord Bird) shares stories about how she dresses the stars on screen (drink included) Amy Andrews Harrell is a Costume Designer with a wide range of experience in both period and contemporary film and television. She has masters degree in theatre from Southern Methodist University where she studied under the multi Tony Award nominated design team of Bill and Jean Eckart. She received an Emmy nomination for her costume designs on National Geographic’s “Killing Lincoln,” and won the Emmy as Costume Supervisor on the HBO series “John Adams.” She also won the Costume Society of America’s 2018 Best Costume Design Award for the PBS mini series “Mercy Street”. Most recently she was the Costume Supervisor on Greta Gerwig’s “Little Women,” which won an Academy Award for Best Costume Design, and the Costume Designer on the Showtime series “The Good Lord Bird,” with Ethan Hawke which was a recipient of the Peabody Award. As the oldest independent film festival in Washington, the DC Independent Film Festival (DCIFF) has a storied history of presenting extraordinary films.
