Description

This seminar will address the needs of those impacted by foster care and provide information on how you and your church can be a support! On Saturday, July 24th, the City on a Hill Church network will be holding a foster care and adoption seminar for anyone who is interested in learning more about the needs of children in our community as well as the many opportunities to step in and support those impacted by foster care. Speakers will include Aaron Peters, the pastor of City on a Hill Brighton, Jonathan Reid, the Executive Director of Fostering Hope New England, Sarah Medrano-Palmer, Director of Family Services and Intensive Foster Care at Cambridge Family and Children's Service, and a panel of foster and adoptive parents who will participate in a Q&A. The seminar will take place from 9:30AM-1:30PM. The location has not yet been confirmed, but it will be in Boston and accessible by public transportation. The cost to attend will be $15, which will allow us to provide a boxed lunch and snacks for everyone. We would love for this to be accessible to any in the area who are interested, so please feel free to invite friends. City on a Hill Brookline started in 2010, and since then, City on a Hill congregations have formed in Somerville and Brighton. Our core values are gospel, community, and mission. We desire to be a network of churches with radical diversity yet uncommon unity as well as a passion for gospel-justice in the city.
