Second Saturday is a family-friendly, free morning at Gamble Garden
All ages are welcome to spend a beautiful August morning at Gamble Garden to enjoy our magnificent collection of heritage apple trees! We are excited to announce that our historic house will be open to registered guests during Second Saturday. Garden Guides will be on hand throughout the garden to add enrichment to your self guided tour.
Special for Families: Did you know that apples come in different sizes and many shades of red and green? Hear the fascinating stories of the apple cultivars developed long ago and growing today in our garden. Have fun following the Apple Trail using our Great Apple Brainteaser. Kids earn a nature activity to take home.
Second Saturday is free and appropriate for all ages. Registration is required. We look forward to seeing you on Second Saturday!
To ensure a safe experience for all, kindly wear a face mask if you are not vaccinated.

Gamble Garden is a 501(c)(3) organization and private horticultural foundation located on 2.5 acres in Palo Alto, CA. The education garden consists of demonstration beds, vegetable beds, and a picnic area for classes and gatherings. The demonstration beds educate visitors on ornamental, drought tolerant plants--native and from around the world. Hands-on volunteers in our weekly “Roots and Shoots” program teaches 3rd graders at our neighboring elementary school how to grow, tend to and harvest vegetables from our beds.
