Our next “Breaking the Glass Ceiling” vodcast will feature IRI Worldwide CFO, Anna Gomez. "Copy Girl to CFO"CFO of international tech firm known as “The Face of Finance in Chicago” to speak about how she broke through to the top of her industry. In an industry that most certainly still has an issue with gender diversity, incredible breakthroughs are being made by female professionals. Anna Gomez’s story is a great example. She rose through the ranks of the technology industry to become the global chief accounting officer and international chief financial officer with IRI Worldwide, a leading data and analytics company. Coming soon, audiences have an opportunity to hear her success story firsthand. Gomez will be the first featured guest during Season 2 of the inspirational Breaking the Glass Ceiling series on August 25th. This in-person event will be held at the Innsbrook Country Club in Merrillville, IN. Lunch will be $30 for NWIIWA members and $50 for non-members. “Breaking the Glass Ceiling” provides a platform for accomplished guests to share lessons they’ve learned to help other professionals empower their careers. There will be a candid question-and-answer session following the presentations where speakers will discuss real-world barriers they have encountered in the workplace. Additionally, this session will have drawings for several prizes. Anna Gomez was born and raised in the city of Makati, Philippines and moved to Chicago over twenty years ago. Prior to working at IRI, she was the CFO of Leo Burnett Group, a global advertising agency owned by Publicis Groupe. Also, she was recently selected for the 2020 HERoes Women Role Model Executives list, which celebrates 100 women who are leading by example and driving change to increase gender diversity in the workplace. Breaking the Glass Ceiling is facilitated by Dr. Lori Feldman, professor of marketing, and Dr. Karen Bishop-Morris, associate professor of English, from Purdue University Northwest.
