Craigslist Add: Recycling Works (Nonprofit) Recycling Driver $16-18/hr Recycling Works is seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented, problem-solving team-player to drive our F250 and trailer at full-time or near-full-time weekly schedule. We want a good person that will become a core member of our Recycling Works team and an essential part of our Missoula community. “It has been amazing working for such an incredible company. It has been the best job I’ve ever had” -- Our Last Driver, on moving out of state for family reasons. We are a non-profit organization tasked with recycling glass (90% of our business) and green waste (10% of our business) in Missoula and throughout Montana. Last year, we diverted half-a-million pounds of useful material from the landfill and donated $16,000 in profits to support Montana families-in-need and Montana Public Education. As our new driver, you would pick up glass at over a thousand locations across Missoula on a monthly basis. You would pick up compost from eighty+ residences on Fridays. A few times per month, you would be part of the team receiving glass shipments from other parts of the state, packing and shipping glass into large containers to ship to Salt Lake City, and helping run community drop-off events in Missoula and other Western Montana towns (typically one to two weekend days per month in the Summer). Requirements: The position requires the ability to stay on one’s feet for extended periods of time, lift up to 80 pounds, enter and exit the F250 up to 200 times per day, and tolerate inclement weather conditions (chain usage will be required during the winter). A clean driving record is required; preferably 3 years’ citation-free in Montana no DUIs. Responsibilities: - Pickup glass and organics from residences, churches and businesses - Arrive at destinations on schedule - Fulfill administrative needs, like office pickups - Research and plan for traffic, construction and weather delays - Use navigation applications to determine the best route - Interact with clients professionally at all times - Ensure that the vehicle is always fueled and ready for use - Arrange for vehicle repairs as needed - Keep mileage records and repair records up-to-date If you meet the job description and you would like to join our team, please send your resume and a brief cover letter to our Craigslist Relay Email to apply.
