Longboard Dancing is a blend of sport, acrobatics, and dance, very similar to figure skating. We implement our mission by holding semi-instructed longboard dancing meetups with one of our major goals being to make Longboard Dancing a featured sport for the upcoming 2028 Olympics. What have we been doing for the community: We host regular meetups on Saturday afternoons and evenings in Santa Monica South Lot 4, near 10 Bicknell Avenue. Participation is completely free and our community is proudly a home for individuals from all walks of life. The meetup is semi-instructed featuring warm-up exercises, coaching for different longboard dancing techniques, and free skating time. Things to Remember: 1. Make sure to wear flat, closed toe shoes. Skate shoes recommended. 2. We recommend you bring and wear personal safety gear (helmet, knee pads, wrist guards, shin guards, and/or elbow pads). We have some to lend, however our supply is limited and it is distributed on a first come-first served basis. 3. As always boards will be available to lend! Please be prepared to leave some form of collateral (ID, your personal board, etc.) so we can ensure others can continue to enjoy our boards in the future. 4. Please make sure to check in at the booth when you arrive! Everyone skating (even if you have your own board) is required to sign a waiver and wear a wristband.
