Community Playgrounds, Inc. is in search of a new addition to our team that will help us keep delivering the highest quality end product. Community Playgrounds, Inc. is a specialty play equipment installation general contractor seeking a new Playground Installer. Our office and shop is located in Vallejo, CA, and our work includes installation of play equipment at schools, childcare centers, apartments, and city parks throughout the Bay Area and Northern California. Installer will need to have close attention to detail, excellent workmanship and general construction skills as follows in the list below. Role Requirements: - Ability to read and understand plans - Able to work efficiently without sacrificing quality - Ability to follow company schedules and project schedules - Must have a reliable vehicle for transportation to and from work - Must own a proper set of tools in good condition (specialty tools are provided) - Ability to layout footings, dig footings, and set posts in concrete according to job site plans - Ability to assemble per manufacturer's installation guidelines - Ability to install surfacing under play structures: artificial turf, wood chips, poured in place rubber, etc., a plus but not required - Must keep a clean and neat appearance and be professional at all times, particularly when interacting with clients **Company shirts, vests, hard hats, and eye protection (when required) will be provided upon hire - Ability to speak Spanish, a plus - Must own a computer or smartphone, as our communications utilize email and text messages Candidates should be reliable, able to follow a schedule, and work with minimum supervision while also cooperating and contributing to a crew with a teamwork attitude. Ideally, we are looking for someone with over 4 years of in the field trade experience and working knowledge of construction practices. Experience in related trades will be considered. Any journeyman level or combination of these trade skills are desirable: - Carpentry - Masonry - Plumbing - Mechanical Compensation: Competitive hourly wages with opportunity for prevailing wages.
