PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — A free concert planned for the Old Stone House has been postponed until next week because of weather, according to organizers. The Brooklyn Conservatory Community Orchestra will offer a free performance at the Park Slope space, originally scheduled for Wednesday, on Monday, July 5 due to the impending rain, organizers said. The concert will wrap up a month of community festivities from the conservatory. Here's what you need to know: WHO: The Brooklyn Conservatory Community Orchestra (BCCO) – a passionate group of dedicated amateur and professional musicians who perform the great masterpieces of the orchestral repertoire. Led by BCCO Director Dorothy Savitch, featuring concertmaster Luis Casal. WHAT: Featuring glorious music by Haydn, Dvorak and the Bruch violin concerto, the evening will culminate with rousing highlights from "The Pirates of the Caribbean." The program opens with music by steelpan virtuoso Khuent Rose. All members of the community are invited to bring their lawn chairs, picnic baskets and blankets and celebrate the summer with BCCO.
