Melt is a 5 year old female Morkie who weighs around 9lbs. This good girl is super sweet. She has a gentle personality that makes her a lovely companion for those people who want a pup to keep them company during movie marathons or rainy days. Melt is also a bit of a velcro dog once she gets to know people, often becoming very attached. Once she comes out of her shell she shows people her perfectly balanced personality of playful and chill qualities! Melt is good with dogs, cats, kids, and is house-trained. When Melt initially meets new people and is adjusting to a new environment, she tends to be very timid and scared. But don’t worry! After about an hour with her new foster (and lots and lots of patience), Melt relaxed and began to fall in love with her foster. She will likely follow her people around the house like a little shadow! Don't be discouraged if initially, she is nervous about being petted. Her forever family should be prepared to give her the time and space to open up in her time frame. Since being with her foster, more and more of her lovely personality has come through. Along with her playful side, she LOVES going on walks! So, at the end of the day, while she may be quite snuggly and couch potato like, she has the energy to play and go on walks, making her a good pup for a wide variety of homes. Melt has been excelling at her training thus far! She is wonderful at walking on her leash, and gets super excited when it's time to go for a walk. She is almost completely housetrained! The only area she is still working on is crate training. While she will eventually settle down when put in a crate, she prefers to be with her people. Melt could do well in a variety of homes. She might do well as an only dog or with a houseful of dog companions. Her greatest need will be a home that will love her unconditionally, giving her the time and space she needs to break out of her shell and show off her wonderful personality. Melt is only an option for those who have had a dog previously. If there are children they need to be over the age of 8.
