Description

See the beautiful fashions of the Roaring '20s while enjoying tea delicacies. The 1920s was a decade of fun and frivolity. Fashions and hem lines changed dramatically. The Plymouth Historical Museum's clothing historian, Pam Yockey, will walk us through the changing fashions in our "Roaring '20s Tea & Fashion Show" on Sunday, August 29, 2-4 pm. Enjoy tea delicacies catered by Diann’s Catering, while sipping the Museum’s own special tea, “Mary’s Blend”—a tantalizing cherry and almond black tea blend in honor of Mary Todd Lincoln. Ticket holders who arrive at the Plymouth Historical Museum before the tea are welcome to visit the Museum's special exhibit, "Roaring '20s." Doors for the tea will open at 1:50 p.m. Pam is a retired teacher, past president of the Plymouth Historical Museum, and is the Museum's archivist. Tickets are $30 for members of the Plymouth Historical Museum and $35 for non-members. Be sure to buy your tea tickets early as the teas at the Plymouth Historical Museum sell out quickly! Tickets go on sale to members on July 5, 2021; tickets go on sale to the public on July 19, 2021. If you'd like to become a member of the Plymouth Historical Museum, visit http://plymouthhistory.org/get-involved/membership/. This tea is sponsored by Schrader-Howell Funeral Home. The Friends of the Plymouth Historical Museum, formally the Plymouth Historical Society, is a privately funded membership organization dedicated to preserving, teaching, and presenting history through the operation and support of the Plymouth Historical Museum.
