My writing partner is no longer available, alas, but my work benefited from our weekly meetings at a café to shore up discipline with accountability. I don't want a collaborator or editor, just someone to show up to write. I found that the discipline and focus carries over to the time between. It doesn’t matter your genre or level of experience.
