MRAG Americas is seeking a Social Accountability Auditor and Quality Management System (QMS) manager, responsible for social compliance auditing, and general QMS management for MRAG Americas’ growing portfolio of certification schemes. The successful candidate will lead product evaluation audits to social and environmental sustainability standards to achieve industry-recognized certifications and assist in developing and refining the MRAG Americas’ QMS as it pertains to social compliance auditing. The priority for the Social Accountability Auditor and QMS Manager will be to join the MRAG Americas auditing team to conduct and complete audits as part of a new labor and social accountability standard for fishing vessels, and social accountability portions of other certification schemes as needed. Therefore, APSCA-qualified social accountability auditors are encouraged to apply, even if general QMS experience is limited. Roles and Responsibilities • Coordinate and conduct onsite and desk audits for both domestic and international clients as assigned • Complete clearly written technical audit reports following program requirements. • Develop and maintain a strong working and technical knowledge of the relevant program certification standards • Ensure ongoing company compliance with all scheme and accreditation requirements (APSCA, ANAB, etc.) • Communicate professionally with all stakeholders (e.g. clients, consultants, scheme owners) • Maintain and update company QMS documentation • Participate in all Internal Audits and External Accreditation Audits Minimum Qualifications • Lead Auditor/Practitioner status in ISO 9001 or ISO 14001, and APSCA CSCA or ASCA • Experienced in developing and maintaining ISO-compliant QMS • Fluent in English, both written and spoken • Experienced in conducting interviews regarding social auditing criteria • Professional experience in both written and verbal client communication • Highly proficient at prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines • Ability to work productively both independently and as part of a team • Able to interpret standard requirements Additional Preferred Skills • Experience or working knowledge of fisheries or aquaculture and their supply chain and industry requirements • Experience with seafood supply chain auditing • Proficiency in Spanish, both written and spoken Salary Commensurate with experience. Location MRAG Americas prefers candidates who are based near one of our office locations (Seattle, WA, Danvers, MA, St. Petersburg, FL, or Anchorage, AK), however remote working will be considered. Work Environment Work is mainly office based, but also may be conducted on board fishing vessels, in manufacturing sites and fish farm operation sites, requiring long periods of sitting, typing, standing, walking, and working in outdoor environments.
