By Eugene Driscoll, Valley Independent Sentinel June 29, 2021 ANSONIA — Sgt. Vincent A. Orlando, the president of the Ansonia Police Union, and Sgt. John Krupinsky, president of the Connecticut Fraternal Order of Police, say putting a senior center within the new Ansonia Police Department under construction at 65 Main St. in Ansonia is a very bad idea. They say the plan being pushed by Mayor David Cassetti's administration and members of the Board of Aldermen will put seniors in danger and possibly prevent the police department from being accredited by the state. They're urging Ansonia government to consider other alternatives. Press play to watch an unedited interview recorded June 29.
