Description
ASM hosts the inaugural "Cosmic Masquerade Ball” charity fundraiser, supporting STEAM Education and the museum's Space Age artifacts. American Space Museum presents the inaugural "Cosmic Masquerade Ball” charity fundraiser on Saturday, Oct. 23rd from 7 pm to Midnight at the Beachside Hotel on Route A1A in Cocoa Beach, Florida. So save the date, Saturday evening, October 23rd. And start shopping for your space-themed costume! An evening of diverse entertainment will be provided by British pop & rock cover band, St. John's Wood; a DJ, and a cosmic dance troupe performance. There will be Raffles, Door Prizes, a Silent Auction, an Out of this World Costume Contest and much more to support our proud, Brevard County non-profit that preserves the Birth of the Space Age and ignites the future generation of space workers. American Space Museum, celebrating its 20th anniversary, is seeking to improve its STEAM education programs for the area students. ASM needs your support for a project to bring all 5,000 fourth grade students in Brevard County to the museum and experience the history and artifacts that, perhaps, was used by their grandfather, aunt, cousin or neighbor who was a space worker during America’s proud chapter of space exploration. In support of this cause, we have sponsorship levels available for this inaugural “Cosmic Masquerade Ball, sure to be an “A-list” event for the Florida Space Coast the weekend before Halloween. Help share our museum with these students by making plans to have a unique evening of cosmic fun! (Please note: Individuals must be 18 and over to attend this event.) Anyone interested in exploring sponsorship or wanting to serve on a committee can contact Mark Marquette via his email at: [email protected]. Brevard County residents have the unique heritage of being the only place in the world where humans have been launched to the Moon. And just one of three places on Earth where humans have been sent to space. ASM seeks support from businesses and individuals who wish to be a part of this legacy that is unlike any other in the United States. ASM welcomes support in all ways, including volunteers at the museum. To learn more, contact us at 321-264-0434 or [email protected]. American Space Museum & U.S. Space Walk of Fame Foundation is a 501(c)(3) Florida non-profit since 1988. The Space Walk of Fame Foundation, along with the City of Titusville, created downtown Space View Park with more than 30 astronauts' handprints in bronze and space workers’ names surrounding monuments to the NASA crewed space programs of Mercury, Gemini, Apollo and Space Shuttle. The ASM museum itself is located at 308 Pine Street, also in Downtown Titusville. It is located on the West side of Southbound US-1 at the corner of Pine Street..... just look for the rocket engines out front! Make plans today for the inaugural ASM’s “Cosmic Masquerade Ball” charity fundraiser! Our purpose and governing mission are “Preserving Achievement; Inspiring Innovation.” Preserving the history of the American Space Program; Honoring our astronauts and aerospace innovators and space workers; Educating current and future generations about the sacrifice and cooperation necessary to build the early space program; Inspiring the next generation of scientists, innovators, and explorers who will take us all in new and exciting directions, and getting them started on their way.
