GLEN BURNIE, MD —A Glen Burnie man was arrested Tuesday after Anne Arundel County Police officers executed a search and seizure warrant of a home in which he was staying. At the home, in the 100 block of Martha Avenue, officers discovered items related to drug distribution activity, the police department said. Kevin Carter Alston, 50, was arrested and charged with two counts of possession with intent to distribute, a felony, two counts of misdemeanor drug possession and a single count of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He also was served on two outstanding warrants. The search of the residence led to the seizure of: 37 gel capsules containing CDS heroin/fentanyl (18.55 grams), a digital scale and residue, a clear glass container with suspected CDS heroin/fentanyl residue and a motorcycle, authorities said. According to reports, Northern District detectives had received information regarding a suspected drug deal at the Martha Avenue residence last month, which led to the request for a warrant. Anne Arundel officer Christina Lockwood told Patch that Alston was occupying the Martha Avenue address even though his own address is listed in the 7300 block of Furnace Branch Road in Glen Burnie.
