ARVADA, CO — An Arvada Strong fundraiser is set to bring the community together Thursday with free live music and more than a dozen participating local restaurants. "Join us for a special edition of Thursday Nite Bites as we come together as a community to heal and give back," organizers said. The special event was organized in the wake of the shooting that took the lives of Arvada police officer Gordon Beesley and Samaritan Johnny Hurley. The event is set to run from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets are $50, and all proceeds will benefit the following funds: CO Fallen Hero FundJohn Hurley GoFundMeJefferson Center for Mental Health >> You can purchase tickets here. The free live music All Star Jam will feature Chris Daniels, Hazel Miller, Drienka and Brian Mikulich. You don't need a ticket to enjoy the music. Visitors are asked to use the yellow, blue and red furniture, or the seating in the Arvada Square or benches, but not the restaurant patio seating.
