We have been emailing the "owner" of this property and it unfortunately is a scam. We got an immediate response from a Keith Baker. The application was in fact a typed out email. We went ahead and sent it in. We did not provide a social security number or birth date. It also oddly did not ask. I sent it in and had used the word blessing in a sentence. It seems the person thought they could prey on that and sent me an immediate response saying he had to pray on the situation. I am okay with that but the emails and texts have all had very broken English as well. After he took a whole 5 minutes to "pray" he said that he and his family (that was never mentioned until mine) decided we were a perfect fit and that he would immediately send me the lease and keys after a fed ex payment of $1,700. In the beginning of our interactions I was told he once lived here but got a job in New Jersey. Just thought I should also throw those details out there in case he tells anyone else something different. I have also uploaded a photo of the ad but if anyone needs the emails or texts feel free to reach out to me. I do know after a little research that Colorado has the highest percentage of rental related scamming going on. I truly appreciate the Craigslist community and it's moderators. It has really become a much safer place. Thank you.
