Donations Sought For Foothill Unity Center's Back-To-School Drive

MONROVIA, CA — Foothill Unity Center is seeking donations for its back-to-school distribution later in the summer. The organization hopes to provide 2,000 students from low income families throughout the San Gabriel Valley with backpacks full of school supplies for the upcoming academic year, it said in a statement. Donations are being accepted now through Aug. 8 and supplies will be handed out to students from Aug. 9 to 13. Items being sought after by the organization include: New backpacks that aren't blue or red Calculators, both basic and scientific Colored pencils, markers and crayons that come in 24-packs College and wide ruled spiral notebooks Three-ring binders Highlighters Regular and mechanical pencils Rulers Scissors Donations can be dropped off at Foothill Unity Center's Monrovia location at 790 W.
