WARRINGTON, PA — New York Jets runningback and Warrington native Josh Adams will appear at a groundbreaking ceremony for a recently upgraded township park. The ceremony will take place Sunday, July 11, at 11 a.m. at DocterAdams Community Park (Willow Knoll Playground), 2235 Oxford Road, Warrington. The goal of the project is to add a play area for children ages 2-5, including new age appropriate swings suitable for toddlers and younger users, township officials said. Plans also call for updating the 5-12 play equipment and adding a "Play 60" Challenge Course with a 40-yard-dash track, both of which will have built-in timing systems. The upgrade is the brainchild of Adams, a Central Bucks High School South alum and Warrington native who spent many hours playing in Willow Knowll Park as a kid. The park name is derived from the nickname Adams' football teammates at Central Bucks South gave to him in high school. Be the first to know what's happening in your town and area.
