Slavery would still be going on and slave owners would still be raping their enslaved women (and often men too). Children as young as 8 would be working 60-80 hour weeks in coal mines and other dangerous jobs as unions would still be illegal. Social Security would not exist and old people would be sent to debtor's prison if they couldn't find work. Only white males would have the right to vote. The air would be unbreathable and the water undrinkable and Republicans would still say pollution is a hoax. The schools would teach that the earth was less than 7,000 years old and there would be no science classes for anyone which means almost all current technology would not exist. Basically an Amish world. Girls would not be allowed to go to schools. Black people would still be whipped for learning to read and write and violating the anti literacy laws common in the south.
