Welder & Fabrication Team (Spanish Speaking is a plus!) [Entry Level to Intermediate] Starting at $16 - $19 per Hour based off experience Full Time Employment, Summer Hours: Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm Winter Hours: Monday-Friday 6:30am-3:00pm Position Summary This is an entry level to intermediate level position. For entry level candidates with no experience we are willing to provide on-the-job training. Candidates who have welding & fabrication experience will start at the higher offered rates depending on the experience noted. If selected, candidate will be incorporated into our fabrication floor as a working team member. Daily primary duties will be welding & fabrication of raw steel components into product at an manufacturing level/pace. The fabrication floor is a high speed team based environment in which candidates will work on a project team or by themselves to fabricate items. Let it be noted that the fabrication floor is full of potentially dangerous equipment in which proper safety must be utilized at all times. The proper candidate will be standing/on their feet for the majority of the day as they work. The candidate will be using a wide variety of machinery to aid in the fabrication of our product, such machinery will be listed in the “Position Duties” section of this document. Requirements 1. Age 18+ 2. Physically able to lift steel components up to 75 pounds 3. Physically able to be on their feet most of the day working 4. Ability to read schematics and interpret building plans accordingly 5. Ability to properly operate manufacturing equipment listed in “Position Duties” 6. Ability to accurately measure and do basic mathematics 7. Ability to follow manufacturing processes to ensure proper construction of products 8. Ability to work with minimal supervision while producing expected results 9. Must adhere to safety guidelines at all times, no exceptions 10. ( Not required, but preferred) Ability to speak basic, limited or fluent Spanish Position Duties 1. Daily operation of manufacturing machinery that includes but is not limited to: Single-Phase MIG Welding Machine, 55 TON “Iron Worker” Press, Robotic Pipe Bender, Thermal Dynamics Plasma Cutter, JET Industrial Liquid Cooled Bandsaw, JET Angle Bandsaw, Standing Drill Press, Angle Grinder, Disc Grinder, Cut-Off Wheel, Oxy-Acetylene Torch, general powered hand tool and general standard hand tools. 2. Fabrication of products using the above listed equipment on a daily basis while performing at a manufacturing level of competence. 3. Following schematics to construct products precisely as they appear with no variations. 4. Setting fabrication tables in accordance to schematics. 5. Ensuring proper fabrication techniques are utilized as the project requires. 6. Fast learner, smart worker & fluid productive results 7. Will be working either in a team on projects, or on by themselves on a project with minimal supervision. 8. Always practicing safety measures required for the fabrication floor and all safety measures demanded by each individual type of machinery when in use. 9. Daily physical activities including but not limited to: Setting up materials on crafting tables, carrying materials and/or product, moving machinery/tools, crouching, standing, kneeling, bending. 10. General fabrication floor & shop related duties. 11. Any and/or all other duties assigned by management as deemed necessary that differ from the descriptions listed above. Scheduling & Benefits Based upon experience, candidate will be compensated $17 - $21 per hour, 40 hours per week as a starting wage. Candidate will be permanently scheduled for Monday - Friday 6:30am - 3:00pm with Saturday & Sunday off. We are closed for all national holidays. Candidate will never work a weekend (unless volunteering for overtime), nor will work a holiday. Additional overtime opportunities exist, but are by volunteer basis and will not be mandatory. There are two 15 minute breaks, one at 8:30am & one at 1:00pm. There is also a 30 minute lunch break at 10:30am. There is a break room with a refrigerator available for breaks & lunch. In addition, Sick Leave & Paid Time Off (PTO) will be accrued over time. Other Information 1. Candidate will start under a typical probation period of 90 days. 2. Candidates starting at the “Entry Level” with provided training must show positive results from the on-site training we provide within the 90 day probation period. 3. Candidate must be able to work at a swift pace. 4. No cell phone use outside of breaks & lunch. 5. Must be able to pass a drug screen.
