This is a night position in the Operating Room. You will get an extra $2.10/per hour (pay differential) for working nights. We are currently offering a $1,000 Incentive ($500 after working 6 months and $500 after working one year). Steady Work Hours, Medical, Dental, 401K, and Paid-Time-Off. Your day. As an Environmental Services Aide II / Housekeeper in the OR, you need to know how to: •Maintain all floor surfaces. Strip, wax and polish floors. •Complete terminal cleanings of OR suites. •Clean walls and floors according to hospital guidelines. •Clean ventilation system. •Dispose of all infectious and non-infectious waste. •Be responsible for all OR furniture and set-up. •Position beds in accordance with surgical procedure as well as all other surgical aids. •Set up surgical tables and equipment towers. •Maintain all wall and ceiling surfaces, including lights. •Assist in supply chain management. •Maintain appropriate inventory levels as benchmarked by Surgical Director. •Restock ordered supplies in appropriate areas/storage units. •Demonstrate appropriate communication skills and adjust communication levels based on the age of patient/visitor/family member. •Give proper instructions to patients/visitor/family member according to age appropriate requirements. •Participate in facility Quality Improvement/IOP Program. •Transport patients to required area. •Secure and retrieve blood/medical supplies/equipment. •Prep anesthesia machine as instructed. •Demonstrate a willingness to learn. •Follow all applicable hospital policies and procedures. •Follow policies and procedures for infection control and facility safety in accordance with regulatory guidelines. •Follow “Patients’ Rights Policy” at all times. •Demonstrate knowledge of information management as appropriate.
