We have earned a reputation as the hardest working and best movers in the business. Every person is important and must perform their best on every job. Under direction, you will learn how to pack and unpack, assemble, transport, and wrap objects, furniture, appliances, and other items for customers who need to move those items. This is a physically demanding position, and we need someone able to lift and move heavy objects throughout the day. Mover Duties and Responsibilities · Protectively wrap and carry or roll-on dollies large and small furniture pieces to and from box trucks. · Pack boxes for customers when needed, labeling contents accurately and packing with care to protect items from damage or movement in boxes or trucks. · Cooperate in a team setting where everyone is working together and follows the guidance of the lead at the site. · Always maintain professionalism Mover Requirements and Qualifications · No experience needed, basic Math and English skills are needed to communicate effectively with customers. · The physical ability to lift and move heavy objects throughout a normal workday · A positive, collaborative attitude · Must have reliable transportation to be promptly at our warehouse in Hurst. · Additional Preferred Skills: · Driving box trucks or large semi-trucks. · Handyman skills for assembly and disassembly of home appliances and furniture. Specifics to the job: · Everyone with a good work ethic is welcome. Starting rate is $15/hour payable biweekly. · Big Daddy’s expects workers to keep track of their hours to verify with Supervisor if a pay discrepancy is noted. · Big Daddy’s is flexible with days of availability for those who have other jobs or responsibilities, but workers must be committed to working on days they specified. Jobs are dispatched the evening before and start early in the morning. · Availability of work is based on jobs booked. If bookings are light, less hours will be available. Some weeks are much busier than others. Summer is the busiest season of the year. · No set time frame for contract length.
