Hey! Guitar, Bass, and Drums here looking to bring in another guitar and vocals for our startup. Can be one person who can do both (frontman), or two separate people (one guitarist and one singer). We're starting a (mostly) Pop Punk cover band! Here's the big idea: Let's learn a bunch of easy awesome songs everyone knows, have fun every week getting together to jam on them. When we know enough songs we'll play gigs and get paid! Let's start with the popular songs from Blink-182, The Offspring, Green Day, Sum 41, AFI, Lit, Andrew WK, and move on to whatever other fun, popular, energetic, crowd-pleasers you can think of. It doesn't strictly have to be only pop-punk, but that's a good launching pad. Everyone in the band will get to pick which songs we learn. Benefits of a cover band: - We won't have to worry about writing new songs, or getting them recorded. Everyone already knows our songs and loves them! - We won't have to worry about selling merch. We'll be getting paid directly from the venue! We want to get connected with people who will: -Practice and learn the songs at home, come to practice prepared. -Want to come to practice every week, once a week, even if we don't have a gig lined up soon. This band is mainly for fun with the side benefit that we could actually get paid by bars to play a couple of hour sets. -At least 21 years old, or will be in the next few months. -Reliable, own gear, and transportation.
