EverGreen Linen Solutions is seeking applicants to work in Dryfold/Flatwork. EverGreen provides a friendly, warm working environment. The position is for Full time (first shift) with possible weekends. No prior experience necessary. Health, Life, Dental, and Vision insurance after 60 days. Job Overview: The Dryfold/Flatwork worker is responsible for manually feeding laundry machinery, such as folding, ironing or tunnel dryer machines. The is a collaborative work environment. Each worker may operate different machines within a shift and handle both wet and dry (clean) laundry as needed. HAND FOLD PROCESSING: The primary responsibility of the hand folder is to take items as they come out of the washer and/or dryer and hand fold, stack and place on the appropriate cart or belt for transporting to the next stage of the process. Decision Making Accountability The hand folder will make many quality decisions, such as identifying if there is a hole or tear in the item, whether it is stained and needs to be rewashed. The hand folder will identify when product is not standard product and remove it from inventory. The hand folder must decide how many items belong in a particular stack by counting. IRONER PROCESSING: The primary responsibility of the ironer position is to run clean processed linen through machinery (feeder, ironer, folder). Decision Making Accountability The ironer processor must decide when something goes in the re-wash basket per pre-established guidelines such as a hole, stain or anything that would make it not a good quality product. If an item is stuck in the machine, or if the machine is not functioning properly, decide when to call for maintenance. OTHER FUNCTIONS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS 1. Any other duties as assigned or deemed necessary 2. Possesses the ability and willingness to move between all jobs via rotation when needed 3.
