We are seeking foster families for dogs and cats, we do also help other animals in need such as rats, birds, chickens, ducks, rodents, guinea pigs, and more! Fostering is FREE, we will supply you everything you need. You supply transportation to and from vetting appointments and adoption events and the TLC that is needed to help these animals find loving forever families. Our animals come from variety of locations, but mainly over populated shelters who need our help. We do accept local animals as well, if we have a foster home willing we will take an animal in need. In addition to literally saving a life, we offer some perks for foster families. Lucky paws has a retail location at 2053 Laura street. We sell all american made products that are safe- NO raw hides etc. Because of that we can get food at whole sale costs. Most major brands including raw: Tuckers, Northwest naturals, honest kitchen, acana, etc etc. You can even buy treats and toys in bulk at whole sale prices. We accept all ages, breeds and sizes of animals in our rescue. We take in a lot of medical cases as well as seniors and hospice animals. This time of year we get a lot of requests to take in puppies and kittens because in the nicer weather, animals escape to breed. The shetlers want the babies out as fast as possible to prevent disease from spreading. If you love animal, but also can't commit for the life of a pet, please consider fostering- we provide the medical and costs associated with the animal, and its short term, and then you get time with a furry friend- win win! Yes it is often hard to say goodbye, but when you help them find a great home it makes it worth while. It is much easier to say goodbye knowing they'll get a happy life than not fostering and them never leaving the shelter alive. Fostering helps you find the right fit for your home if looking for a permanent family member. You really get to know the animal, and fosters get first right to adopt if a good fit.
