Note- the ONLY reason why immigrants come to the U.S. is because they want jobs. If there were no employment opportunities here, immigrants would not come. We need affordable labor, they need work. Let’s quit pretending that undocumented immigrants are not a symbiotic (mutually beneficial) relationship for us Americans. Every American citizen benefits from immigrant labor. So lets recognize that fact and find a way to make illegal immigrants legal. Let’s stop denying our own culpability here. We want cheap gardeners, house keepers, daycare workers, restaurant employees, ditch diggers, car washers, agricultural workers, construction workers etc. So lets admit it and embrace it. Immigrants are here because we NEED them. Immigrants come here because we HIRE them. If there were no job opportunities here, immigrants would not come, its that simple. Think about that next time you enter the burger king drive through or the car wash. Think about that next time you stay at a motel 6 or Trump resort. Next time you eat an apple or a carrot, think about what immigrant labor means to you. Americans are just as much to blame for immigration as the immigrants are. Let’s admit our need for immigrants in our work force and work to improve the situation. Without immigrant labor, the cost of goods and services in America would be 25-100% higher. Think about that next time you need a new roof or have your house painted.
