Create Portraits on Location in this in-person event. TTL Tuesdays with Profoto are Back! We are excited to launch a new series of lighting events, each month, through the rest of 2021. In this event, we will go on location with Kate Hailey. Kate will share tips and techniques for creating portraits on location. This session will highlight ways to make the most of a single location for backgrounds, seeking interesting compositions, and of course using light in a variety of essential and creative ways. Attendees will have the opportunity to "be the photographer", in a variety of lighting scenarios. Kate will set up a shot, everyone will be able to use the setups, as well ask questions. WHAT TO BRINGCamera with fully charged battery and memory cardLens for portraits. Kate prefers a 50mm or 85mm, but something in the 35mm - 105mm range is great.Attendees should have an understanding of aperture, shutter speed, ISO, and how to navigate their camera menus. WHERE TO MEETWe will meet at the Olympic Sculpture Park main entrance at the corner of Broad and Western Parking on Western as well a lot under the main entrance of the park, accessible from Broad between Western and Alaskan Way. ABOUT KATE HAILEYKate is a Portrait Photographer based in Seattle. Kate’s work is a mix of studio portraiture to street photography, blending in movement and stories along the way. When she’s not creating images you’ll find her teaching Photography, Portraiture & Lighting. Her most current work can be found on her Instagram feed @KateHailey.
