Description
Join us every other Sunday throughout Seattle for Flow Arts in the Park! This event is free to attend, and all circus props are provided. Join us every other Sunday this summer for Flow Arts in the Park! Flow Arts in the Park is a beginner-focused event with two short workshops highlighting different props, a small performance, and "open jam" time to give you the opportunity to practice, play, and connect with friends and community. ** These events are FREE and juggling balls, poi, and hoops will be provided by Seattle Flow Arts Collective. Just bring yourself and be ready to play! ** We’re excited to share this art in parks all over the city this summer so stay sharp! We’ll be in a new location each week. This week's workshops: * Zoe Shugart will teach the Basics of Ball Juggling: Start with one ball and work up to a 3 ball cascade. Mostly playing around with good practice techniques on catches and throws and building up slowly. * Russell will be teaching Reels and Turns with Poi: Learn to turn around with poi. Take the first steps from spinning with poi to dancing with poi! This event is free to attend but donations help keep us spinning. If you'd like to contribute to the cause, you can donate at www.seattleflowarts.org/donate ❤ Stay tuned to the event page for more details. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ COVID Guidelines - Masks are not required for this event, but we encourage attendees to wear one if that feels more comfortable or safe. - Maintain a distance of about 6 feet from people who aren't part of your household. - Please stay home if you have any symptoms of COVID or have been recently exposed to someone who is sick. - Use hand sanitizer and sanitize props between use if sharing (we'll provide sanitizer). - Be mindful of people's various comfort zones and vaccine statuses by asking about people's boundaries - especially before hugging or touching others. Flow Arts in the Park is produced by Seattle Flow Arts Collective, an arts nonprofit that inspires play and promotes wellbeing by sharing and advancing the flow arts.
