Building Porter – Summer Relief Position

Seeking a reliable individual to work in a large residential co-op building on UES. We are seeking to fill a temporary porter position. Essential Function/Responsibilities: Duties include but are not limited to the following: - Daily interior cleanliness of buildings, including general cleaning of common areas task included but not limited to cleaning up spills, cleaning windows, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping. - Daily trash handling and removal including emptying of the building’s compactor, breaking down and tying up cardboard boxes, and bringing trash and recyclables curbside for removal by DOS. - Required to perform exterior building cleaning, walkways, sidewalk and curb, etc. - Placing down mats/runners in inclement weather, assisting in weather related cleaning conditions. Requirements: - Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English - Flexible and willing to work all shifts/hours as needed (capable of working additional hours) - Must be detail oriented. - Due to physical nature of certain required tasks, must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds at a time. - Prolonged periods of standing - Self-motivated and proactive. - High School Diploma/GED Please email your resume to be considered for the position in pdf or word format.
