Windmill is a modern air conditioning company in NYC. We make a beautiful, efficient, easy-to-install, and quiet window ACs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead and oversee Windmill’s warehouse operations in the Bronx, which will serve as the home base for the Company’s NYC logistics infrastructure
Manage the entire inventory lifecycle, including but not limited to, receiving, organizing, stocking, repairing, and shipping units
Organize all aspects of physical inventory, designing the processes and working with our Ops/Customer Experience team to ensure maximum efficiency
Monitor processes, performance, and productivity to optimize operational excellence, including service, quality, and cost
Continuously identify areas for improvement and establish best-in-class policies, procedures, and practices to achieve the Company’s goals
Assist with helping to determine appropriate staffing levels; to include training and cross-training of any other warehouse staff
Ensure warehouse equipment is maintained and in proper working order
Oversee warehouse maintenance and condition
Coordinate safety meetings and create procedures based on OSHA requirements and any other regulatory frameworks
Perform other similar duties as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
3+ years of warehouse experience, in a similar position (e.g., Manager, Lead, and/or Coordinator roles)
Strong organizational and tracking skills, wth good aptitude for math/numbers
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Willingness to take initiative and go the extra mile in ensuring sound warehouse operations and processes
Ability to both work independently and supervise any other warehouse personnel
Comfortable operating a forklift, as well as lifting up to 75 lbs
Knowledge of and experience with Excel, computer software and systems
Ability to work daily in the Bronx, NYC
